Fmr. Kebbi Governor, Dakingari and SSG to be arraigned by ICPC

Nigerian anti-corruption agency, Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), will arraign Alhaji Saidu Dakingari alongside the former Secretary to the State Government before the Kebbi State High court.
The duo would be arraigned over alleged fraud and misappropriation of public fund.
This was disclosed by Sokoto State Commissioner of ICPC, Mr. Bulus Mai, while addressing students of the Federal Government College, Sokoto on the occasion of World Anti-corruption Day.

Usman Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, the former governor, was elected Governor Kebbi State in Nigeria on April 2007 and took office on 29 May 2007 under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He was reelected on 26 April 2011. On 24 February 2012, the Supreme Court upheld a ruling by the Kebbi state governorship  Election Tribunal that nullified his election and ordered a fresh election within 90 days. He was elected again on 31 march and took office on 2 April 2012 till 29 May 2015.
